There will be significant partner work, observation, practice teaching and hands-on application.
Understanding the body you're teaching Nov 6th-Dec 11th 2026
60 Hours | 20 IN-person | 40 Virtual
This is where anatomy becomes something students can actually see, feel and teach—not simply memorize.
Core curriculum: functional anatomy; myology and kinesiology; major muscle groups and their actions; joints and movement patterns; planes of movement; mobility vs. stability; understanding compensation; muscular recruitment; sequencing larger/global muscles before smaller supporting muscles; translating anatomy into accessible yoga language; observing different bodies in movement.
This is also where practice teaching begins. Rather than waiting until the end of training, students start leading small portions of class—warm-ups, transitions, posture families and short sequences—with feedback.
Five Modules | 300 Hours Oct 2nd - May 9th
From Loving to Leading is a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training designed to bridge the space between loving the practice, knowing the information, and confidently leading it.
This isn't about collecting another certification or memorizing more poses. It's about becoming a teacher who understands what they're teaching, who they're teaching, how to build an intentional experience, how to adapt to the people in front of them, and ultimately, where they want yoga to take them.
The program is divided into five 60-hour modules, each building on the one before it:
MODULE 1 — ROOT: Philosophy, Practice + Presence
Go deeper into the foundation of yoga through history, philosophy, the Eight Limbs, koshas, meditation, pranayama, different styles of practice, and the influential teachers who have shaped modern yoga. Begin defining what the practice means to you—and what you want to carry forward as a teacher.
MODULE 2 — BODY: Anatomy, Movement + Teaching Foundations
Learn to see anatomy in motion. Explore functional movement, myology, kinesiology, major muscle groups, joint actions and movement patterns, and how the body organizes itself from larger muscles to smaller supporting structures. Most importantly, begin translating that knowledge into teaching through guided practice teaching and feedback.
MODULE 3 — BUILD: Sequencing, Creativity + The Classroom Experience
Move beyond borrowing someone else's sequence and learn how to build your own. Develop three distinct styles of class, write original sequences, receive individual feedback, and teach your work to the group. Explore music, pacing, language, environment and vibe—and how all of those pieces come together to create an experience.
MODULE 4 — SUPPORT: Assists, Adaptability + Trauma-Informed Teaching
Learn to teach the person in front of you—not an idealized version of a pose. Dive into hands-on assists, consent, observation, modifications, props, special populations, trauma-informed teaching and adapting your approach for different bodies and experiences. This is the most hands-on portion of the training, with 60% of the module completed in person.
MODULE 5 — LEAD: Business, Brand + Becoming the Teacher
Take your teaching out into the world. Define your niche, audience, point of view and professional direction while learning the foundations of pricing, offers, websites, social media, studio opportunities, private clients, workshops, retreats and other ways to build a career around teaching.
You'll also receive two professional photoshoots: a teacher essentials shoot for headshots and classic yoga imagery, followed by an intentional mini brand shoot with photographer Nick, designed around your individual vision, aesthetic and the teacher or business you're building.
By the end of the 300 hours, the goal isn't simply to know more yoga.
It's to be able to understand it, embody it, build it, adapt it and lead it.
ROOT → BODY → BUILD → SUPPORT → LEAD
You already love the practice.
Now it's time to decide where you're going to lead it.
Turning Your Teaching Into Something Real
60 Hours | 20 Hours In-Person | 40 Hours Virtual April 2nd - May 9th
The final module asks a different question:
Where do you actually want yoga to lead you?
This module bridges the gap between becoming a skilled teacher and building a teaching career, business, or brand that actually reflects who you are.
Students will develop a real-world vision for where they want to take their teaching—rather than finishing another training with a certificate and no clear next step.
Core Curriculum: identifying your teaching niche; defining your audience; developing your personal brand and point of view; creating and positioning an offer; pricing; teacher bio; website direction; social media presence; pitching studios and opportunities; private clients; small-group teaching; large-format classes; workshops; corporate wellness; retreats; mentorships; and educational offerings.
Two Professional Photoshoots Included
A major part of this module is helping students leave with professional assets they can actually use. Each student will receive two photoshoots as part of the training.
Photoshoot One — Teacher Essentials
A shorter professional shoot focused on capturing a strong headshot along with a selection of classic yoga and teaching images. These photos are designed to give students the essentials they need for studio bios, teaching profiles, websites, social media, and professional opportunities.
Photoshoot Two — Mini Brand Shoot
Students will then work toward a more intentional mini brand shoot with my photographer, Nick. Together, we'll dial in their vision, aesthetic, audience, teaching direction, locations/setting, wardrobe, and overall feeling so the shoot communicates who they are becoming as a teacher and what they want to build.
Rather than creating a generic yoga-teacher brand, each student develops a vision based on how they genuinely want to teach and where they want yoga to take them.
The module culminates in a clear next-step plan, defined professional direction, and a collection of brand assets they can immediately begin putting into the world.
Leave with more than a certificate. Leave with a direction, a body of work, and the tools to begin building it.
60 Hours | Understanding what you are teaching
This module establishes the foundation beneath the physical practice. Students explore where yoga comes from, how its philosophies have evolved, and how those teachings translate into the modern classroom.
Core curriculum: history and evolution of yoga; the Eight Limbs; koshas; foundational philosophy and texts; meditation, pranayama and mindfulness; exploration of several yoga styles and lineages; influential modern teachers and how they shaped contemporary yoga; developing presence as both practitioner and teacher.
Students will experience different styles of practice rather than simply studying them, beginning to identify what resonates with them—and eventually, what they want their own teaching to stand for.
60 Hours | 20hr IN-person | 40hr Virtual Jan 8th- Feb 7th
Students move from following sequences to understanding why a sequence works.
They'll learn frameworks for creating three distinct styles of yoga class, progressing from concept to completed sequence.
Core curriculum: sequencing principles; class architecture; warm-up → build → peak → integration; regressions and progressions; transitions; pacing; timing; intelligent repetition; building toward a peak pose or movement concept; writing three original sequences; individual sequence review and feedback; teaching an original class to the group.
We’ll also explore everything that creates the experience beyond the poses: music, playlists, lighting, room setup, energy, language, pacing and vibe.
By the end, students aren't borrowing someone else's sequence—they're beginning to recognize their own teaching style.
Build the room you want to lead.
Four Modules | 240 Hours Oct 2nd - March 28th
The 200+ is the heart of From Loving to Leading—four 60-hour modules designed to bridge the space between completing a foundational yoga teacher training and actually feeling prepared to teach.
Because getting certified and feeling ready to lead a room are two very different things.
The 200+ moves beyond memorizing poses, anatomy terms, and philosophy. It teaches you how to understand the practice, understand the body, build an intentional class, and confidently teach the people in front of you.
Across the four modules, you'll move through yoga philosophy, history, meditation and the roots of the practice; functional anatomy, myology and kinesiology; intelligent sequencing and class design; practice teaching and feedback; music, environment and the overall experience of a class; hands-on assists; special populations; and trauma-informed teaching.
You'll begin teaching early in the program—first in smaller pieces, then through complete sequences and eventually full classes. You'll receive feedback, refine your language, learn to observe real bodies, and develop the ability to adapt rather than simply repeat a memorized sequence.
The four modules follow a deliberate progression:
ROOT — Understand the history, philosophy and practice you're stepping into.
BODY — Understand anatomy, movement and the bodies you're responsible for teaching.
BUILD — Learn to intelligently sequence, create an experience and develop your own teaching voice.
SUPPORT — Learn to assist, adapt and teach different bodies, experiences and populations with greater skill and awareness.
The goal isn't another 200 hours of information.
It's learning how to take everything you already know and turn it into the skill of teaching.
You loved the practice. Now learn how to lead it.
What Sets Izzy’s Teacher Training Apart
01 / You Teach - A Lot
Confidence doesn't come from collecting more information. It comes from actually teaching. You'll practice throughout the training, receive direct feedback, refine, and teach again—so you're building real experience before you leave the room.
02 / Anatomy You Can Actually Use
No memorizing muscles just to pass a test. We study anatomy through movement—myology, kinesiology, functional movement, and how real bodies move differently—then immediately connect it to sequencing, cueing, and teaching.
03 / You Leave Knowing What’s Next
This training doesn't end at certification. You'll develop your voice, teaching style, brand, professional photos, and a clear vision for where you want to teach—whether that's studios, privates, workshops, retreats, or something entirely your own.
