Massage Therapy w/ Izzy
I've been practicing massage since 2009, when I earned my first license at Kripalu in the Berkshires. Since then, my hands have been shaped by teachers around the world. I studied Thai massage in Thailand with Pichet, completed the Thai Circus's month-long intensive in Laos twice, trained in Lomi Lomi with Anna, and spent years traveling internationally teaching AcroYoga, where yoga, acrobatics and Thai massage meet. After Covid, I felt a deep call back to bodywork. People needed to be touched and cared for, so I completed New York State's 1,000-hour licensing program and brought my practice to New York. Here, I've worked at AIRE Ancient Baths and, most recently, served as Director of Massage Therapy Programming at Sage + Sound. There I created their signature lymphatic, body sculpt, intraoral face lifting and athletic treatments, drawing on training in Vodder, French and Brazilian lymphatic techniques and ProAge facial work. My touch is fluid and intuitive, with lots of forearm work, and every session is built around you. I can weave together deep tissue, Thai, Lomi Lomi, lymphatic drainage, cupping and assisted stretching into a treatment that's entirely your own.
